BELMOPAN, Belize – A full three points will be paramount for both Belize and Saint Kitts and Nevis when the two sides meet in Group B action in League C of the 2019-20 Concacaf Nations League on Thursday night at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in Belmopan, Belize.
It marks the third all-time contest between the two nations, with Belize emerging victorious 4-2 on aggregate back in 2008 when they faced each other in Concacaf World Cup Qualifying for South Africa 2010.
In that series, Belize were led by Deon McCaulay, who had two goals in a 3-2 win in the first leg.
The Belize dangerman will look to strike again against the Sugar Boyz after finding the scoresheet in Belize’s previous CNL match, a narrow 2-1 loss to Grenada.
Saint Kitts and Nevis are once again proving to be a tough foe and showed great character in rallying to earn a 2-2 draw with French Guiana in the previous matchday.
A win on Thursday would go a long way to helping Saint Kitts and Nevis come closer to their fulfilling their promotion dreams.
