GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala – The Guatemalan national soccer team, leader of Group C of the Concacaf Nations League C, wants to stay on top when facing Anguilla – who are last of their group – on October 12.
The Guatemalan team currently hold the most goals scored (15), has not conceded in two games and has the top scorers of the tournament: Edi Danilo Guerra with five (5) goals and Marvin José Ceballos with three (3).
Head Coach Amarini Villatoro does not think it will be an easy match-up and for this, summoned his best men Ricardo Jerez (Petroleum Alliance, COL.) – veteran goalkeeper – Allen Yanes (New York Reds Bulls, U.S.) and Marvin Ceballos (Leones Negros de Guadalajara, Mex).
The roster also includes five FC Communications players who have just qualified for the 2020 Concacaf Scotiabank Champions League.
Guatemala will only have one game on the second matchday of the Concacaf Nations League in October. In addition to the upcoming match against Anguilla, Guatemala will also face Bermuda in a friendly match on October 15 in Minnesota, USA.
