MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica – Jamaica hosts Antigua and Barbuda in Group C of League B action in the Concacaf Nations League group stage at the Montego Bay Sports Complex in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
This will be the 12th encounter between the two nations who have faced off in friendlies, Caribbean Cup matches and FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Jamaica leads the series eight wins to one, the two other encounters ending in draws.
Jamaica won their first three matches in Concacaf Nations League Qualifying by a combined score of 12-1 but were held scoreless by El Salvador on the final matchday.
The eighth-place finish earned Jamaica a spot in the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup, where they served as co-hosts in Kingston before reaching the semifinals of the tournament for a third consecutive edition.
Antigua and Barbuda finished 18th in CNLQ with two wins and two losses.
The team started 1W-0D-2L before Michel Dinzey was appointed Manager before the team’s fourth and final qualifying match – a match in which the Benna Boys responded with a 2-1 home win over Curacao.
Jamaican FW Cory Burke and Antigua and Barbuda FW Myles Weston each led their team in scoring with four goals in CNLQ. Jamaica will have their goalscorer available, while Weston was not called up for the September matches.
